Course Description: This course is designed for the student to learn about bearing selection, lubrication, troubleshooting failures and preventative maintenance.
Prerequisites: None
Course Objectives:
At the conclusion of this course the student will be able to:
  • Select the proper bearing type and style for a particular application; select the proper style of seal for the particular bearing and application
  • Troubleshoot failed bearings and explore methods to reduce future failures
  • Demonstrate an understanding of proper bearing lubrication
  • Demonstrate the proper way to mount and dismount a bearing
  • Demonstrate an entry level understanding of predictive and preventative maintenance
